Record number of REALTORS come to Albany to advocate for tax cap - including GSAR!
More than 320 REALTORS traveled from across the state to participate in NYSAR's annual Lobby Day, yesterday, Tuesday, May 24. These REALTORS spent the day urging their legislators to approve a two-percent property tax cap, along with directing their attention to other REALTOR legislative priorities.
"We're very close to an agreement on the property tax cap," said Lt. Governor Robert Duffy, who thanked REALTORS on behalf of Gov. Andrew Cuomo for their strong support of the tax cap. He added that the Assembly was going to announce its proposal later in the day. "You've been vocal. You have been very adamant about this."
GSAR was represented by members of our leadership and Legislative Committee. Pictured below are Donna Rausch, Sandy Farrands, Linda Thomas-Caster, Chris Teelin, Dave Manzano, Jim Harriff, George Mango, Sue Proch, Lynnore Fetyko, and Don Radke.
