Are you "living by the Code"? The REALTOR® Code of Ethics is your pathway to professionalism and adhering to the Code is what separates you, as a REALTOR®, from other real estate professionals. Your instructor will review: changes to the Code of Ethics; your duties to clients, customers, the public and REALTORS; the professional standards process. REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 min. of instructional time within each four-year ethics cycle. This course meets the specific learning objectives and criteria established by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS®.

Can you afford a fine in excess of $15,000 for a first time offense? Learn how to protect yourself from charges of discrimination. If charged, you are presumed GUILTY unless you can prove your innocence. As the Appraiser Sees It I: Selecting Comparables with Jane Mostow

This course is designed as an introduction to the principles of appraisal practice as it relates to the sale of real property. Choosing comparable properties for the appraisal analysis will be discussed. You will learn about housing styles, components of the property inspection, and how location (e.g., town, school district) affects the appraised value of a property.

A continuation of “As the Appraiser Sees It: I”. This class will increase your understanding of the appraisal process. The instructor will focus on the importance of proper information gathering and recording, requirements for the secondary market, how to read and interpret appraisal reports, and how to refute an appraisal. Upon completion of this course, you will be better able to effectively communicate with the appraiser.
